SODIUM TRIMETHYLPENTENE/MA COPOLYMER(Cas 37199-81-8) Usage

General Description

Sodium trimethylpentene/MA copolymer is a chemical compound commonly used in the formulation of hair care and skincare products. It is added to these products as a film-forming and binding agent that helps to improve their texture and hold. This copolymer is known for its water-resistant properties and its ability to provide a smooth and even application of cosmetic products. Sodium trimethylpentene/MA copolymer is also used in the manufacturing of adhesives, coatings, and other industrial applications due to its excellent film-forming properties and resistance to water and other environmental factors.

Derivatives of 9,lO-dihydroanthracene containing the 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl group were prepared by treatment of sodium anthracenide with 2-chloro-2,4,4-trimethylpentane. The crude …

LDPE/starch blends compatibilized with PE-g-MA copolymers

D. Bikiaris, C. Panayiotou

Journal of Applied Polymer Science,Volume70, Issue8 21 November 1998 Pages 1503-1521

In the present study, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and plasticized starch (PLST) blends, containing different percentages of PLST, were prepared. In these blends, two different polyethylene/maleic anhydride graft (PE-g-MA) copolymers containing 0.4 and 0.8 mol % anhydride groups, respectively, were added as compatibilizers at 10 wt % PLST.
